JAZZOPEN
In the past 30 years, the jazzopen has evolved into one of the top three festivals for Jazz and Beyond in Europe. In Stuttgart, every July, the city’s rhythm is set by major stars from various genres for eleven days, celebrating the diversity of music with over 50,000 attendees (across around 50 concerts on up to nine stages). From jazz-heavy club stages to the main venue on Schloßplatz, each artist deserves the most fitting of our stages. Newcomers and world stars alike grace us with their presence. Since winning the Live Entertainment Award (LEA) from the German music industry in 2017 and 2018, the jazzopen has gained global recognition.
Featuring superstars such as Sting, Lenny Kravitz, Santana, David Gilmour, Diana Krall, Parov Stelar, Christina Aguilera, Jamie Cullum, Joss Stone, Grace Jones, or Herbie Hancock, the festival creates a highly emotional festival atmosphere. Its radiance extends far beyond national borders. In addition to numerous concert recordings, regularly featured on Arte or available for streaming, the jazzopen garnered significant attention by winning two Live Entertainment Awards (LEA) in 2017 (Best Festival) and 2018 (Kraftwerk, Best Concert).
